Take control of the modern battlefield as commander or troop in the true sequel to Battlefield 1942. Play as USA, China or MEC taking control of a large number of vehicles including jets, helicopters, boats, jeeps, APC's and even the USS Essex. As commander make use of being able to see all thats happening on the battlefield with scanners and UPV's as well as helping your army out with supply drops and wipe out masses of enemy troops with a well aimed artillery strike. Form squads and work together or go lone wolf and lead your team to victory by gaining ground and capturing flags across the map.

Battlefield 2 (also known as BF2) is the third installment in the Battlefield series and was developed by DICE. It was released on June 21, 2005 in North America. Battlefield 2 is the first installment in the series to be set in a modern setting, taking place in and around 2007 during a global war pitting the United States and the European Union (Euro Force) against China (PLA) and the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition (MEC). The game takes place on different fronts, with American and European Forces invading China and Middle Eastern countries, while Chinese and MEC forces invade the mainland United States (Armored Fury).
Battlefield 2 features a singleplayer mode that allow players to play on multiplayer maps by themselves with bots on either the Recruit, Veteran, or Expert difficulties. Unlike multiplayer, which supports up to 64 players, this mode only supports a maximum of 16 players, limiting the mode to only 16 player sized maps as a result.
