Tom and Jerry, the famous cartoon cat-and-mouse duo, have stopped fighting each other for a change. Their friend, the young girl Robyn, has been kidnapped, and it's up to them to rescue her. Starting out in the suburbs, the cat and mouse team must make their way through eight stages of platform action, moving through the city and into the mountains, all the while collecting fish and cheese, and finding occasional footballs to take out their enemies. The game can be played single-player, solo as Tom, or two-player simultaneous with Tom and Jerry teaming up.
Tom and Jerry: Frantic Antics is a 1993 video game, developed by Beam Software for the Sega Genesis. The game is an adaptation of Tom and Jerry: The Movie, released a year before. Game is a side-scrolling adventure platform. The player, as Tom in some levels and Jerry in others, must navigate ten obstacle-ridden levels based on locations in the film (e.g. the condemned old home of Tom's owners, the alley, the library, the carnival, etc.). As with the film, Tom and Jerry's goal is to work together to help defeat Robyn's enemies, including Aunt Figg (the final boss of the game) and reunite Robyn with her father.
β’ Improvement Rom Hack: this rom hack aim to improve overall gameplay. Changes made: screen resolution increased from 256 to 320; in 1 player mode, now you can select play as Tom or Jerry on each level; improved camera in 1 player mode; added music for levels 4,5,7,8 instead of repeated music; fixed double/multiple damage from enemy bug; in rolling attack, you no longer takes damage more than normal hits; a bit easier to do jump and turn back while running; a bit faster vertical swim speed.
